What is Image Translator?
Image Translator is a Chrome browser extension that allows users to right-click any image on a webpage, select their desired language, and automatically perform OCR recognition and translation. The translated text seamlessly overlays the original image, delivering a what-you-see-is-what-you-get browsing experience. It supports PNG and JPG formats, currently utilizing the Google Translate API, with plans to integrate DeepL and Yandex Translate in the future. All user data remains securely stored within the local Google account, never uploaded to the developer’s servers, and daily uploads are automatically cleared, ensuring compliance with GDPR and California privacy laws.
